Baseball and softball highlights March 10


Nate Navarrete batted 3 for 3 with a homer, three runs and two RBIs as Central (7-0) stayed undefeated and won 10-7 against Hanford (3-4) at the Central Classic. Brayden Sanchez hit two hits and three RBIs for Hanford.

Jose Barraza struck out 12 in 4 2/3 innings and Porterville defeated Sunnyside 4-2 at the Central Valley Diamond Classic.

Justin Casida hit a three-run homer during Kingsburg's seven-run seventh inning and the Vikings dispatched Fowler 10-6 at the Central Valley Diamond Classic.

Michael Rodrigues went 3 for 4 with an RBI and got the win as Kerman defeated Madera South 7-2 at the Central Classic.

Jordan Stallworth drove in three runs as Memorial toppled Fresno 5-2 at the Central Classic.

Brad Rolff had two hits as Yosemite edged Hoover 6-5 at the Central Classic. Hoover's Wesley Blankenship had three hits, including a home run.

Sean Borboa and Eian Raeber each had two RBIs for Hanford West in a 5-3 victory against Tulare.

Allan Sanchez brought in two runs and Justin McIntosh scored twice as Exeter defeated Woodlake 8-6 at the Farmersville Tournament.

Chris Aguayo had two hits, two RBIs and struck out six to lead Firebaugh to a 16-4 win against Laton in nonleague play.


Elizabeth Carreiro had three RBIs and Nicole Chavez homered as Riverdale beat Corcoran 12-1 in nonleague play.

Emily Solorio batted 2 for 4 with three RBIs and Brenda Diaz had two hits and two RBIs as Caruthers beat Coalinga 11-10 in nonleague play. Coalinga's Fernanda Jencoff finished with a home run, two doubles and three RBIs.

Hannah Green pitched a complete game as Clovis North downed Golden West 8-1 in nonleague action.

June Stewart hit a three-run homer but Clovis lost 4-3 to Chino at the Tournament of Champions in Bullhead City, Ariz.
