Basketball highlights from Feb. 16

BOYS BASKETBALL

Phillip Randles had four of his six 3-pointers in the third quarter and finished with 22 points to lead Edison over Sanger 79-49 in the County/Metro Athletic Conference. Patrick Pinkard lead Sanger with 22 points.

Four players scored in double figures to lead Washington past Sierra 79-39, clinching the North Sequoia League championship.

Tri-River Athletic Conference champion Clovis West got 24 points from Denzel Johnson in a 71-41 win over Central.

Hoover (9-0) is one win away from a perfect run through the North Yosemite League after getting 15 points from Jovante Packard in a 60-47 win over Reedley.

Josue Salaam and Rayshon Espirito each scored 16 points to help Hanford West clinch at least a share of the West Yosemite League title with a 54-36 win over El Diamante.

Joseph Barrientos scored seven of his 15 points as Lindsay pulled away from Orosi in the fourth quarter to secure at least a share of its second straight East Sequoia League title.

Evan Ewert hit a pair of free throws with 2 seconds left, giving Yosemite a 47-45 North Sequoia League victory over Chowchilla. He finished with game-high 18 points and 10 rebounds.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Sydnee Fipps scored 23 points as Yosemite clinched at least a share of the NSL title with a 56-18 win over Chowchilla.
