Basketball highlights from Feb. 1

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Hoover took sole control of first in the North Yosemite League with a 58-35 win over McLane behind Miyah Rollins' 25 points.

Heidi Johnson scored 28 points and Buchanan upset No. 9 Clovis North 62-55 in the TRAC.

Keyora Wharry's 15 points helped Edison take sole possession of first in the County/Metro Athletic Conference with a 55-36 win over Memorial.

Jordan Reid scored 41 points in Caruthers' 69-43 nonleague win over Firebaugh.

Karissa Booker scored 22 points and Madison Parrish delivered 20 points and eight assists as top-ranked Hanford bolted to a 43-3 halftime lead and won 66-15 at Golden West for the Bullpups' 56th straight West Yosemite League win.

Brianna Watson scored 23 points and No. 5 Clovis beat No. 2 Clovis West 57-48, snapping the Golden Eagles' 58-game TRAC winning streak.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Mitchell Mouw's 15 points lifted No. 9 Central Valley Christian (8-0 Central Sequoia League) past Dinuba 57-44.
