Basketball highlights from Jan. 25


Jesse Lujan and Charles Flewellen combined for 12 of Selma's 23 fourth-quarter points in a 61-56 win against Kingsburg in the Central Sequoia League. Kane Cooper led the Bears with 14 points and Nico Cantu had 13 for the Vikings.

Nacho Martinez had 15 points and seven assists and Marcelo Silva added 11 points and six rebounds in Woodlake's 62-47 nonleague victory over Orange Cove.

Christian Carter scored 21 points, including the deciding free throw with 20 seconds left in Corcoran's 71-70 victory over Orosi in the East Sequoia League. Orosi's Ronchell Ortal, who had 28 points, hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to force the extra period.

Jeremy Gomez had four of his 20 points in overtime and Dinuba outlasted Exeter 55-51 in the Central Sequoia League. Exeter rallied from 12 points down to tie it in regulation on Eli Garver's layup.


Miyah Rollins had 13 points and Hoover downed Reedley 47-23 in a battle for first place to improve to 3-0 in the NYL.

Ali Orlich had 19 points and Katie Ogdon 11, as No. 2 Clovis West improved to 3-0 in the TRAC with a 63-58 win against Clovis East, which got 26 points from Erikka Banks.

Breona Minor had 11 points as No. 6 Clovis led the entire way and held on for a 51-50 upset of No. 3 Buchanan in the TRAC. Heidi Johnson had a game-high 23 points for the Bears.
