BOYS BASKETBALL

There's a three-way tie atop the County/Metro Athletic Conference among No. 5 Bullard, which beat Sunnyside 98-32 behind Jajuan Hammond's 17 points; Edison, which got 22 points from T.J. Viney in a 79-39 win over Madera; and Memorial, which got 14 points from Royshon Snowden and Nick Bell in a 64-43 win over Sanger.

No. 3 Buchanan made 13 3-pointers behind Alex Fertig (17 points), Martin Arambula (15) and Ryan Swain (14) and escaped with a 63-62 win at No. 2 Clovis West, which had Denzel Johnson's driving shot lip in and out of the rim with 2 seconds remaining. Buchanan will visit No. 7 Clovis Wednesday for first place in the Tri-River Athletic Conference. Lestee Cesar's free throw with 40 seconds left was the difference as Clovis edged Central 48-47.

Caleb Cederblom's driving layup just before the final buzzer lifted Yosemite past Liberty-Madera Ranchos 51-49 in the North Sequoia League.

William Stallworth scored 19 points and Keonta Vernon added 17 as No. 9 Tulare won its 27th straight East Yosemite League game, 63-29 over Cesar Chavez.

Jeremy Gomez scored 11 of Dinuba's 16 points in the fourth quarter, guiding the Emperors to a 51-45 victory over Immanuel in Central Sequoia League action. Gomez finished with a game-high 19 points.

Grant Verhoeven totaled 27 points, 24 rebounds and five blocks to power Central Valley Christian to a 62-40 CSL win over Selma.
