Sports briefs: Fresno City soccer All-Americans

Fresno City College has four All-Americans in women's and men's soccer after both teams reached the state's Final Four.

The women produced three National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-Americans in sophomores Jesslyn Fagundes (Lemoore High), Carley Griffin (Bullard) and Miko Elliott (Clovis). Sophomore Liam Hall (Memorial) made it for the men.

For the women's program, it was an all-time record and a state-leading total this year.

Hall previously was named Central Valley Conference co-Defender of the Year.

Ex-Reedley JC stars boost SF State

Former Reedley College basketball standouts Marquel Hoskins and Winston Demmin have helped San Francisco State to a 5-2 start, including 3-0 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association.

Hoskins, a senior guard and co-captain, has started six games, averaging 9.3 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.3 assists. Demmin, a junior forward, has played in seven games off the bench and is averaging 7.1 points and 4.7 rebounds.

Clovis Junior Soccer wins 2 crowns

The Clovis Junior Soccer League delivered two titles at the California Youth Soccer League Founder's Cup in Ripon.

In under-12 boys, Gettysburg Soccer Club closed a 20-0 season by defeating Stockton 2-0.

Gettysburg gave up five goals all season with a team consisting of Robert Cervantes, Matthew Fierro, Jakob Hinrichs, Elijah Madron, Brandon Martino, Patrick James McDonough, Carson Olson, Seppe Palumbo, Dominic Verduzco, William Vue and Isaiah Walls.

An all-Clovis matchup had Century Celtic receive two goals from Haley Barham and defeat Maple Creek 2-1 in sudden death for the girls U10 title. Members of the championship team were Elizabeth Alarcon, Barham, Kara Bates, Taylor Forestiere, Kylie Hancock, Maddy Hernandez, Meagen Lowe, Ashley Lundholm, Megan Reisz, Joshlynn Simmavong, Taylor Souza, Seren Tamayo and Kendall Veatch.
