Kings Christian and Fresno Christian got the most respect for the Central Section when the state high school volleyball seedings were announced Sunday.
The Division V schools were seeded 2-3 and each got a home match Tuesday.
Also getting home matches were Central Section champions Edison, Madera South, Central Valley Christian and Centennial-Bakersfield.
Fresno Christian was the section's only runner-up to earn a home match in the eight-team Southern California regional brackets. Clovis West and Independence-Bakersfield from the section also made fields.
All first-round matches are scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday unless changed by mutual agreement. Regional semifinals are planned for Saturday, regional finals Nov. 30 at school sites and the state finals Dec. 4 at San Jose State.
Clovis West (27-6) got a No. 7 seed in Division I and plays at Long Beach Poly (35-2) in the first round.
Fresno Christian (24-9-1) hosts Sierra Canyon-Chatsworth (17-6).
Kings Christian (29-4-3), which beat Fresno Christian on Tuesday for the 33-year-old school's first section volleyball title, hosts Victor Valley Christian-Victorville (16-5).
The section's other representatives could do no better than No. 3 seeds for Central Valley Christian in Division IV and Centennial in D-I.
CVC (28-4) will host Brethren Christian-Huntington Beach (16-5) at 5 p.m.
Edison and Madera South each received a No. 4 seed -- generally considered the lowest available for a section champion in Southern California, which draws from the Central, Southern, San Diego and Los Angeles sections.
Edison (26-6), which won the school's first section volleyball title, hosts Downey (27-3) in D-II.
Madera South (30-8), which won the section D-III title last week with a gutsy three-set rally on the road, hosts Campbell Hall-North Hollywood (19-11).
Centennial (34-7) plays Marymount-Los Angeles (22-6).
