Highlights from March 11


Darienne Schmall homered and drove in five runs as Liberty-Madera Ranchos crushed Memorial 10-2.

Sydney White struck out nine in a complete game and Leesa Greshman had six strikeouts in her start as Clovis West swept Bullard, winning 2-1 and 4-2.

Caruthers' Hayley Nason had eight strikeouts and blanked Dos Palos for a 7-0 win. Caruthers also beat Coalinga 8-6 behind Marissa Suarez's three RBIs.

Natalie Rendon picked up a pair of wins as Buchanan defeated Los Banos 11-0 and 6-5. In game 1, Rendon had 12 strikeouts. In the second game, Samantha Mendoza drove in the game-winner.


Reedley beat Roosevelt 21-0 at the Central Classic, scoring all of its runs in the third inning and putting an end to the game after five. Andrew Aleman went 2 for 2 and drove in four runs, and Jarrod Chiasson had two hits, two runs and three RBIs.

Cody Skaggs, Jesse Gonzales, Eian Raeber and Vincent Landeros each had an RBI as Hanford West improved to 7-1 by beating Madera South 4-3 at the Central Classic.

James Huelscamp went 2 for 3 with a home run to power Memorial in an 8-7 win against Golden Valley at the Central Classic.

Kenneth Buchnoff had two hits, including a home run, and Michael Rodrigues had three RBIs as Kerman defeated McLane 10-0 in the Central Classic.

Dustin Gunter homered as Fowler downed Dinuba 6-3 at the Central Valley Diamond Classic. Thomas Johnson hit a walk-off single as Sanger snuck past Coalinga 5-4 at the Valley Baseball Classic.

Brandon Lundberg got the win and Yosemite (7-0) stayed undefeated after beating Buhach Colony-Atwater 2-1 at the Central Classic.

Brian Rogers hit a two-run single as Corcoran defeated Hoover 3-1 in the Central Valley Diamond Classic.

Farmersville locked up a 9-1 victory as Cody Hall limited Mendota to one run at the Farmersville Classic.
