Second-seeded Clovis North High outlasted No. 1 Madera South on Friday to win its first Central Section girls soccer championship in the program's second year of existence.
The Division III game lasted 110 minutes, as the teams tied 1-1 in regulation and played four overtime periods before the Broncos prevailed 3-2 in the shootout.
Kelsey Stilwell scored the go-ahead shootout goal, then goaltender Stephanie Hoffman knocked away Madera South's last shot.
Kaleigh Reap scored a first-half goal for Clovis North.

Division II girls: No. 1 Garces topped Redwood 2-0, as the No. 6 Rangers' long-shot bid finally came to end.
D-IV girls: Brianna Westly, Katelyn Von Meter, Elizabeth Vannette, Rebekah Gonzales and Erin Van Grouw scored as No. 1 Central Valley Christian beat No. 2 Exeter 5-0.
D-V girls: Third-seeded Liberty-Madera Ranchos avenged a playoff loss to Mission Prep from last season, getting two goals from Victoria Burnell in a 2-0 victory over the top-seeded Royals.
D-I boys: Marc Jones scored a golden goal in sixth-seeded Stockdale's 1-0 win vs. No. 5 Centennial.
D-III boys: Second-seeded Dinuba won 4-2 in the shootout to upend top-seeded Golden Valley. The Bulldogs also were the Central Section's top-ranked team during the regular season and No. 25 in the ESPN Rise Fab 50.
Girls D-I postponed
Top-seeded Buchanan's championship girls game against No. 2 Stockdale, which had been scheduled for today, has been moved to 3 p.m. Tuesday.
