Central boys sneak past No. 1 Clovis East

Rakim Brown scored 25 points as second-ranked Central moved into a first place tie in the Tri-River Athletic Conference by winning 85-82 at No. 1 Clovis East Tuesday night.

Central (19-4) -- reversing an 85-78 homecourt loss to the Timberwolves (21-6) -- and Clovis East are 6-1 in the league with three games remaining.

Senior point guard Robert Sandoval, after missing a game with a sprained ankle, scored 16 points for Clovis East, which had a three-year, 18-game winning streak snapped in the TRAC.
