GIRLS BASKETBALL

Clovis West's No. 2 girls gained the split. Brianna Orlich's 31 points helped top No. 5 Buchanan.

Amy Weststeyn led D-V No. 1 Central Valley Christian with 24 points, but it was junior guard Kacie Van Hofwegen's basket with 16.7 seconds left that lifted the Cavaliers by Selma 49-47.

Miyah Rollins' 21 points, 11 assists, and 10 steals powered Hoover past Reedley 64-36 in the County/Metro Athletic Conference

Nereida Padilla scored 21 points, including five free throws in overtime, as Kingsburg held on to beat Exeter 50-48.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Senior guard Jason Carmichael made 5 of 7 3-pointers and scored 27 points in Mt. Whitney's 55-48 victory over Hanford in the West Yosemite League.

Jackson Carbajal poured in 18 points and Buchanan, ranked No. 5 overall by The Bee, took down No. 2 Clovis West 68-55 to keep the Golden Eagles winless in the Tri-River Athletic Conference.
