BOYS BASKETBALL

No. 1 Clovis East rallied to beat unranked Clovis 56-55. Saig Horn came through with key 3s late and Kevin Bailey knocked down essential free throws in a Tri-River Athletic Conference opener.

Alex Fertig scored 17 points as No. 5 Buchanan opened TRAC play with a 84-70 victory over Madera.

No. 10 Bullard cruised past Reedley 81-43 in the County/Metro Athletic Conference behind Darnell Johnson's 18 points.

Chris Jenkins' school-record 37 points, including 18 in the fourth quarter, helped Sunnyside open North Yosemite League play with a 79-63 victory over Fresno.

Freshman Keonta Vernon had a career-high 18 points and Jordan Searby 16 as No. 8 Tulare rolled over Delano 84-49 in the East Yosemite League.

Kyle Jackson's 26 points powered Immanuel to a 61-58 Central Sequoia League win over Selma.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Sydnee Fipps had 23 points and 10 rebounds as No. 3 Yosemite opened North Sequoia League play by beating Sierra 66-36.
