THE BUZZ

The Tri-River Athletic Conference boiler is stoked tonight, featuring Central at Clovis West. Friday's best will match Clovis West at Buchanan and Clovis East at Central.

Senior point guard Rodney Webster, who's being evaluated closely by Fresno State, scored 30 points as Hanford West routed Hanford 69-44 in the West Yosemite League. The Huskies, who were 1-14 all-time against Hanford, are 4-0 in the WYL while seeking their first outright title in their eight-year history in the league. They shared the crown with Redwood and Lemoore in 2005.

Ridgeview, considered by many the best team in Kern County, lost 72-57 to Stockdale in a Southwest Yosemite League duel of unbeatens. Jordan Burris, who had a 52-point game in the Clovis Elks Christmas Classic, scored 25 points. He goes head-to-head with Centennial's Cody Kessler tonight.
