Memorial boys edge CVC in OT

Collin Stover nailed nine 3-pointers and scored 39 points as Memorial High rallied for a 70-61 overtime win against Central Valley Christian in the Super Saturday Showdown boys basketball tournament at Hanford West.

Stover hit eight of his 3-pointers after halftime.

Memorial (13-5), No. 1 in The Bee's Division II rankings, outscored CVC 19-7 in the fourth quarter and 9-0 in overtime.

Lance Van Grouw had 24 points and Derek Van Grouw 22 for CVC (9-4), top-ranked in D-V.

- Clovis' David Blumer had 13 points in an 48-34 Showcase win over Bakersfield Christian, the defending section D-IV champ.
