Rams' Wright honored
Fresno City's Maghan Wright, a sophomore defender from Buchanan High, has been named second-team All-America by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
The Rams finished with their second-highest national ranking in school history at No. 10. They finished No. 5 previously.
A final No. 5 ranking by Fresno's men was second only to its No. 4 in 2002. The Rams' men landed a first-team All-American in Cody Ellison, a sophomore defender from Clovis.
Wright and Ellison were selected among the top 25 female and male players in the nation.
