Michael Hill scored 16 points, and Jajuan Hammond and Darnell Johnson added 14 each as Bullard charged into today's 7:30 p.m. championship of the Holiday Invitational Tournament at Hoover High by defeating previously unbeaten Central 78-75.
The Knights (4-3) closed with a 23-18 rally in the fourth quarter while avenging a 77-69 loss to the Grizzlies (7-1) two weeks ago in the Hanford Rotational Invitational.
The reward is a second date with Gahr-Cerritos (8-0), which beat Bullard 84-78 in an HIT first-rounder Friday. Rakim Brown scored 23 points for Central against the Knights.
Gahr, held 17 points under its season average, made the HIT final nonetheless by defeating Clovis 72-57. The Gladiators of the Southern Section received 21 and 17 points from guards Davon Potts and Ervin Ware. They entered the 51st annual event averaging 26.4 and 22.2. Drew Dockweiler scored 25 points for Clovis, which will play Central for third place at 6 p.m.

Hanford West, the Central Section's defending Division III champion, received 23 points from Rodney Webster and beat Kings County rival Lemoore 71-64 in the HIT.
