Clovis West boys 7th at Oceanview tourney

Derek Walters' rebound and free throw with 4.6 seconds left helped Clovis West High's boys basketball team hang on for a 63-61 victory over Leuzinger-Los Angeles for seventh place at the Oceanview Tournament of Champions in Huntington Beach.

The Golden Eagles were led by Jason Ritchey's 29 points.

— Sierra downed Caruthers 74-62 for the Kerman title behind MVP Brandon Bill's 21 points.

— MVP Chris Jenkins scored 18 points to lead Sunnyside past Clovis North 67-65 for the Kingsburg Lions title.

Yosemite girls win Hoover tourney

Yosemite High's girls basketball team pulled away from Clovis East in the fourth quarter behind tournament MVP Sydnee Fipps for a 53-48 win in the final of the Hoover Holiday Classic.

Fipps scored 32 points for the Badgers. All-tourney pick Erikka Banks had 25 for Clovis East.

— MVP Toni Anaya's 11 points helped Memorial defeat Reedley 59-19 and win the Reedley Kiwanis title. Memorial went 3-1 — as did Hanford West and Tulare Western — but allowed the least points.
