GIRLS TENNIS

Kathryn Ashford's 6-0, 7-5 victory over Gretel D'Souza at No. 1 singles helped power No. 3-ranked Buchanan to a 6-3 victory over No. 6 Clovis.

Fowler, the No. 2 team in Division V, handled Riverdale 7-2 behind Harneet Virk's 8-7 (2) victory at No. 1 singles.

Dos Palos' Marissa Gonzales defeated Neole Hensley 8-6 to clinch the Broncos' 5-4 victory over Fresno Christian.

McLane junior Patricia Vasquez, a 4.0 student off the court, won 6-4, 6-0 at No. 1 as the Highlanders dominated in singles play en route to a 6-3 victory over Roosevelt.
