Spring Luncheon & Fashion Show
A Spring Luncheon, Fashion Show and Boutique will be held at 12 p.m. (noon), Tuesday, April 28 at Notre Dame Hall, 333 8th Street in Clovis.
The event is sponsored by the Guild of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. Tickets cost $10.
Clovis Memorial Run
The Clovis Memorial Run will be held Saturday, May 23. This event includes a 5K run, 2-mile walk, half mile kids’ run, and a half mile Senior Walk & Roll.
Festivities will begin at 7:55 a.m. with the National Anthem, followed by the kids’ run at 8 a.m., the Senior Walk & Roll at 8:10 a.m., the 5K at 8:25 a.m., and the two mile walk at 8:30 a.m.
Veterans and Military are free if registered by May 10. Registration is $20-$35 dollars for all other participants depending upon event and registration time. All participants receive a tech shirt, pancake breakfast, and raffle ticket for prizes.
There will also resource fair with information for seniors, veterans, and the general public. Proceeds from this event benefit the Clovis Senior Activity Center.
Jackpot Roping April 4
The Clovis Rodeo’s annual Jackpot Roping event will begin at 8 a.m., Saturday, April 4 at the Clovis Rodeo Grounds, 748 Rodeo Drive. Sign-ups for ropers is at 7 a.m. The event kicks off a month of western-related activities leading up to the 101st Annual Clovis Rodeo April 23-26.
Cowboys and cowgirls from across California will show off their roping skills and compete for prize money and custom made centennial buckles.
The event is free to the public. Parking is also free.
Feet Health presentation at Clovis Community
Dr. Kathryne Rupley, DPM, Podiatrist, will explain how to reduce the risk of ankle and foot injuries, the benefits of walking, and how to begin a walking program. Bring your walking shoes and join in on a walk after the presentation.
The presentation will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, April 2 at Clovis Community Medical Center’s H. Marcus Radin Conference Center, 2755 Herndon Avenue, Clovis, CA 93611.

Tickets on sale for Home of Hope
The Foundation for Clovis Schools is selling Granville’s Home of Hope tickets. One-hundred percent of the proceeds sold by the foundation benefit Clovis Unified School District to support student and teacher programs. This year’s Home of Hope is located in Balterra Community in the Clovis East boundaries. Tickets cost $100. The grand prize drawing for the home is June 18.
