Bulldog Pride Fund awards five scholarships

Five Fresno State students each were awarded $2,000 scholarships for the 2012-13 school year through the Bulldog Pride Fund, alumni director Peter Robertson said.

The recipients are Leo Barajas, a senior from Madera majoring in mass communication and journalism; Michelle Swift, a senior from Burney studying recreation administration; Dausha Calhoun, a junior from Riverside studying nursing; Justin Kamimoto, a sophomore from Clovis studying business; and the unnamed junior kinesiology student, who performs as Fresno State's mascot, TimeOut. The scholarship, established in 2006, has provided 23 scholarships totaling $39,000, Robertson said.
