Prep highlights: Star Clovis North QB Christian Rossi gets hopeful news

A doctor advised rest but said Clovis North two-sport standout Christian Rossi likely avoided a serious knee injury in a 28-7 football loss Friday to Long Beach Poly in a CIF South Division I Regional, said the quarterback/shortstop's father, Rick Rossi.

Rod Kraft of the Sierra Pacific Orthopedic Center told the family he saw no ligament damage and that Christian likely has fluid in the knee, which will dissipate before the baseball season starts. Results of an MRI to rule out other issues are pending.
