DeYoung Properties has returned to the TV spotlight in the new HGTV series "Showhouse Showdown," to air 9 p.m. Monday on the HGTV cable channel.
"Showhouse Showdown" is a competition between two interior designers who take over newly built, identical homes with matching budgets. At the end of each episode, one designer is voted the winner by people who represent the developer's target market.
The local homes used in the competition were at 2109 Buckingham Ave. and 2117 Buckingham Ave. in Clovis.
Designers combined custom ideas with features and amenities from the DeYoung Design Center and furnishings from Mor Furniture.
DeYoung's previous TV exposure was in 2009, when the local firm rebuilt a home for the ABC series "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition."
