A Clovis teen who was struck by a car as he rode a motor scooter Friday evening is brain dead but on life support so his organs can be donated, the Fresno County Coroner's Office reported today.
The boy, whose name has not been released, was injured as he crossed Clovis Avenue near Gettysburg Avenue and was hit by a car heading south on Clovis, a police spokesman said.
The boy was taken to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno, where his injuries were described as major. Police said the boy was hearing a helmet.
