Ron Stumpf and Stumpf and Co. won the Realtor Magazine's Brokerage Office Redesign Contest. He is featured in Realtor Magazine's June issue.

Jeff Karst passed the Certified Financial Planner certification exam and the Uniform Investment Advisor Law Examination. He joined Pathways Advisory Group Inc. in June 2010.

Arise Solar in Clovis was awarded the distinction of being the first and only SunPower Elite Dealer in the Central Valley.

Rabobank N.A. ranked highest in customer satisfaction among retail banks in California, according to a study by J.D. Power and Associates.

David Clark, Reedley College dean of instruction, was appointed to the Board of Directors for the Central Valley Public Transportation Authority.

Carole Ford, certified financial planner and president of Ford Financial Group, has received national recognition from the Barron's magazine ranking of "Top 100 Women Financial Advisors in the U.S."

Dr. John K. Sullivan of Tulare has been elected president of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He concentrates on cosmetic and restorative dentistry at Smiles by Sullivan and has been a member of the academy since 1998.

Awards

William van Beever is the first recipient of the Leon S. Peters Resident of the Year Award. He recently completed pediatric residency training at UCSF Fresno Medical Education and Research Program.

Janice Wong was named 2011 State Center Community College District Classified Professional of the Year. She is a college center assistant in the Student Activities Office and has been with Fresno City College since January 2000.

Visalia Chamber of Commerce's Annual Awards Celebration winners are Phillip Hornburg, man of the year; Barbra Hood, woman of the year; Frank's Appliance, small business of the year; Central Valley Business Forms Inc., medium business of the year; Visalia Community Bank, large business of the year; The Lagomarsino Group, agri-business of the year; Four Creeks, Visalia certified green business of the year; and Doug Reader, Fruit Patch, CFO of the year.

New faces

Management Recruiters of Fresno has hired Lemuel Majam as a research assistant in the health-care department and Robert Peabody as a research assistant in the manufacturing department.

Amit Kamboj, M.D., a fellowship-trained gastroenterologist/hepatologist, returns to Visalia to practice medicine with Visalia Medical Clinic. He graduated from Creighton Medical School in Omaha, Neb., and completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento.

The Law Offices of Anthony P. Capozzi announces that Nicholas A. Capozzi has joined the firm as an associate attorney. He is a graduate of McGeorge School of Law and was recently admitted to the State Bar of California.
