Dora Garcia was honored as CareGiver of the Year by the Home Instead Senior Care franchise office serving Fresno County. The award recognized Garcia's commitment and service to older adults.

Taj Randhawa, RE/MAX Gold Fresno office, was ranked No. 25 for RE/MAX Worldwide in commercial sales for the first quarter of 2011.

Karen Avenell was top listing agent for April at Coldwell Banker Premier Real Estate.

Guy Willias was the No. 1 producer for April for Guarantee Home Loans. Dave Falke and Nick Barayuga were recognized for their April production.

Kaweah Delta Health Care District was named a Valley Air Living Partner by the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District.

Michael Robertson of Brooks Ransom Associates obtained his California license as a professional engineer. Robertson has been with the company for more than five years.

Al Perry, director of VA Central California Healthcare System, has been honored with the prestigious 2011 Veterans Administration Certified Mentor of the Year Award. Perry is a certified VA Mentor/Coach (Fellow level) in several federal executive development programs.

Michael Hennessy, president and CEO of the Coleman Foundation, was awarded the Vision Award at the Lyles Center's end-of-the-year banquet.


Ethylene Control Inc. celebrates 25 years of service. Dave Biswell started the business in 1986 out of the back of his pickup. Gross sales are now in the millions annually. Glen E. Gates has joined the legal team of Pascuzzi, Moore & Stoker Attorneys at Law. Gates obtained his law degree at San Joaquin College of Law in 1979.

ASI Payroll announces David Pulido and Kristen Fry as their new business development managers. Pulido brings his veteran experience in business management and a decade of sales experience to the local payroll-processing company. Fry has more than five years of marketing and sales experience in the Central Valley and will focus on client growth.

Pearson Realty announced Michael Efird as a farmlands division sales associate, specializing in selling permanent crops in Fresno, Kings, and Madera counties. Efird graduated from California State University, Fresno, with a bachelor of science degree in business administration with an option in real estate and urban land economics. His family has been farming in the Central Valley for over 100 years.

United Carpet One announces Bill Sanders and Marilyn Sanders as new hires for the Shaw store location. Bill Sanders has 30 plus years in the flooring industry in the Valley, with extensive experience in commercial, builder and property management flooring needs. Marilyn Sanders has more than 18 years of experience in the flooring industry. She is accomplished in color and design, residential remodel and has insurance flooring replacement expertise.

VA Central California Health Care System announces Dawn Golik as public affairs officer. Golik will manage media and communications, develop marketing and outreach strategies, and work with stakeholders on behalf of the VA.

Gibbs International Truck Centers announces Mark S. Rapin as sales manager for Fresno/Tulare locations. Rapin was previously co-owner of Freedom Ford Truck Center.

Catalyst Marketing Company announces Michael Pitzer as the creative director. Pitzer has 23 years of design experience and previously owned an advertising and design agency in Arizona.

Fresno Bank of America Vice President Randy Dhindsa has been promoted to business banking market manager for the South Central Valley, including Fresno, Madera, Stockton, Visalia, Bakersfield, San Luis Obispo, Pismo Beach and Monterey.

DLL Insurance Agency of Fresno announces Tracy Hodge has become an account executive. Hodge has been with the company for two years as a customer service representative.
