Woman sought in Clovis store robbery

Clovis police are looking for an armed woman who robbed a cigarette store Friday morning.

The woman, who had a small silver semiautomatic handgun, entered the store near Shaw and Minnewawa avenues about 9 a.m. and demanded money from a clerk, police said. The woman ran out with an undisclosed amount of money.

She is described as white or Hispanic, 5-feet, 6-inches tall with a heavy build and in her late 30s or early 40s. She was wearing a bright yellow shirt, black sweat pants, flip-flops and sunglasses.

She was driving a dark gray four-door sedan, possibly a newer model Nissan.
