Five men possessing gang paraphernalia in violation of their parole were arrested Friday in Clovis, a police spokeswoman said.
The gang paraphernalia included hats and clothing.
The five were arrested during a search of 13 recently paroled gang members.
The mayor of Clovis, California, and city officials responded to remarks on diversity made by a Fresno Housing Authority commissioner about an affordable housing project. The comments were seen as racist by some.
