Yosemite Fitness in Clovis will close at the end of April, and the personal-training business next door plans to take over the space.
Yosemite Fitness, a combination fitness center and rock-climbing gym that held parties for children, spent the last four years at the northeast corner of Willow and Nees avenues.
Owner Sean Smith blamed the economy for the nearly 10-year-old business's demise.
"We tried as hard as we could," he said. "It's just the way the economy is right now."

Smith said he is looking into getting other fitness clubs, including the soon-to-open MetalMark at Granite Park, to pick up customers who paid for a full year in advance.
The Bod-e² Shop, which operates in 1,500 square feet of space, is planning to expand into the Yosemite Fitness space. It will not keep the climbing wall.
