Clovis library plans brief closure for renovation

Clovis Regional Library will close for three weeks beginning Friday for a planned renovation project.

The Clovis library is scheduled to reopen Feb. 16.

While the library is closed, materials ordered and normally picked up at the Clovis branch can be retrieved at the Woodward Park branch, 944 E. Perrin Ave.

The Clovis branch is getting new carpet and paint and generally is being spruced up, said Roberta Barton, Fresno County libraries' public information officer.

The project is paid for through Measure B, the one-eighth of a cent tax measure scheduled to expire in 2013.

Funds from the measure make up more than half the budget for the Fresno County Public Library, she said.
