Sarge Green, program director of the California Water Institute at Fresno State, on Thursday will discuss the role of the San Joaquin Valley's ground water in the state's water supply.
His presentation is scheduled at a local chapter meeting of the Groundwater Resources Association of California from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Old Spaghetti Factory, 1610 E. Shaw Ave.

High school juniors and seniors in Fresno Unified and Clovis Unified can apply.
The first parent information night is 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. A second information night will be 6:30 p.m. Jan. 27.
Meetings are on the CART campus at Clovis and Santa Ana avenues.
