The Fresno Pacific University Nursing program received national accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. The accreditation is for a maximum of five years.

Wells Fargo Housing Foundation presented $200,000 to the Coalition for Urban Renewal Excellence. The nonprofit agency's mission is to eliminate blight, to stabilize neighborhoods and to restore communities through the creation of affordable housing opportunities in the Central Valley.
