Pedestrian loses foot in Clovis accident

A pedestrian lost her foot when a motorcycle hit her Saturday evening in Clovis.

The 61-year-old woman was crossing Armstrong Avenue near Appaloosa Avenue when a 22-year-old motorcyclist driving north ran her over and dragged her for an unknown distance, said Jeff Taylor, a California Highway Patrol officer.

The woman's foot was amputated before she was taken by ambulance to Community Regional Medical Center. The motorcyclist was taken to Clovis Community Medical Center with a broken wrist, Taylor said.

No additional information on the victims or the accident was available.
