Tony Marciano, physical therapist at Visalia Medical Clinic, recently received his doctorate degree in physical therapy. Dr. Marciano has served as director of the clinic's physical therapy department since 1999.

Forensic engineer Mark A. Whelchel, P.E. of Friant was an instructor for the Advanced Accident Reconstruction Special Seminar at the semiannual meeting of The National Academy of Forensic Engineers. Whelchel taught "Advanced Techniques Involving Motorcycle Crash Characteristics."

Baker Manock & Jensen attorneys who were designated 2010 Northern California Rising Stars by Super Lawyers magazine are: Christopher Bell, Mark Poochigian and Kenneth Price.

Carly J. Tex, Paula R. Lent, Pascal Casey and Fanny A. Lingenfelter completed the California Indian Manpower Consortium 2010 Leadership Training for Entrepreneurial/Small Business/Economic Development and developed a plan for their businesses. Tex's business is Carly Tex, Native Language Consulting Services and is from the North Fork Rancheria Band of Mono Indians; Lent's business is NDNTRENDZ and is of Paiute, Choinumni and Mono heritage; Casey's business is Native Dreams/pic-apache@yahoo.com and is from the San Carlos Apache; and Lingenfelter's business is Mountain Wash and is from the North Fork Mono Tribe.

Lee Horwitz, president of A&M Flooring America, received an honorary membership in Beta Gamma Sigma, the international honor society recognizing business excellence, during the 46th annual California State University, Fresno Craig School of Business Awards Dinner.
