Kent Baucher of Technicon Engineering Services Inc. received certification by the Steel Tank Institute to perform inspections on above-ground tanks and tank systems. Baucher is the only STI-certified inspector in Fresno and the surrounding Central Valley area.

Fernando Velazco, agent of Century 21 Dan Cheney and Associates, achieved the classification of GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute).

Robert Anthony Amaro, former vice president-commercial division of Citibank in Fresno, completed the Master of Business Administration program at the Anderson School of Business at the University of California at Los Angeles.

Coldwell Banker Premier Real Estate was named to the Coldwell Bank Chairman's Circle. The designation is awarded to companies that attained closed adjusted gross-commission income of $8 million or more during 2009. Coldwell Banker Premiere Real Estate is one of 46 Coldwell Banker companies worldwide to receive this award.

Bill Williams and Sandra Vicente were named Union Bank, N.A.'s assistant vice presidents and branch managers. Williams will be at the Selma branch, and Vicente is at the Madera branch. Williams brings retail and customer-service experience, and Vicente brings eight years of banking experience to their new positions.

Brian D. Thome was named chief executive officer of EdeniQ, a clean technology company based in Visalia.

Team Salinas with RE/MAX Gold in Fresno was ranked 63 out of the top 100 teams in the RE/MAX California/Hawaii Region for February 2010. The team is composed of Julie Salinas, broker; Chris Salinas, co-owner/accounting; Eddie Quintana, buyers agent; John Tanner, Sarah Gillespie and Sarah Bloomquist, assistants; and Nancy Alaniz, transaction coordinator.

Awards

McCaffrey Homes received a Gold Nugget Grand Award at the Pacific Coast Builder's Conference for its Oak Knoll plan from its Madison Place Collection. The Oak Knoll was honored in the category of Best Single Family Detached Home, 2,000 to 3,000 Square Feet on a Conventional Lot.

Visalia Chamber of Commerce's 57th Annual Awards Celebration winners are: Alan George, Man of the Year; Marilynn Mitchell, Woman of the Year; Ashoori & Co. New faces

Lynette Van Vranken joined the Fresno branch of Placer Title Co. as an escrow officer. Van Vranken has more than 20 years of title and escrow experience.
