Fresno County sheriff's investigators are seeking the public's help in finding a white Jeep Cherokee and another vehicle, both with Arizona plates, in connection with recent home-invasion robberies in the region.
Sheriff's spokesman Chris Curtice said investigators don't know whether the vehicles are tied to the robberies, but "we are not ruling it out."
The first robbery was in Clovis on Feb. 24. Three took place last week -- in Kerman on March 15, in rural Selma on March 16 and in Fresno on March 17. Cash, jewelry, an SUV and other property were taken. Some victims were tied up. No one has been injured.
In some of the robberies, the suspects wore similar clothing, carried similar weapons and acted in the same manner, Curtice said. Investigators have concluded the Fresno and Selma cases are unrelated. Investigators are trying to determine whether the other crimes are connected.
