Clovis police arrested 12 people Thursday on suspicion of drug-related felonies and misdemeanors and sent three children to Fresno County Children and Family Services after they served search warrants at two homes.
Police arrested one man on the 1200 block of 3rd Street on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine, meth paraphernalia and being a drug addict in possession of a firearm.
They searched a second home on the 600 block of Woodworth Avenue where they found eight adults and three children living in about 800 square feet of space. The home was in such poor condition that Clovis building inspectors declared it uninhabitable and had the water and power turned off, police said.
During the search, three gang members from Sanger arrived to deliver a quarter-pound of meth, police said. One of them brandished a handgun at officers. He later dropped the weapon, and all three were arrested, police said.
