Clovis city officials are presenting a seminar Monday that can give local businesses ideas on how to succeed in an economic downturn. The program, called Tools for Business Success-Live, is free. This first session will begin at 5:30 p.m. Monday in Trelio, 438 Clovis Ave. Topics will include ways in which owners and managers can raise their bottom line. The first installment will focus on alternative marketing techniques such as using Facebook, Twitter and other social networking sites. Merchants using these techniques have increased their market share by as much as 50%, according to city officials. For more information, call Shawn Miller at (559) 324-2083.
