Guaranty Bank's two branches in Fresno and Clovis will formally adopt the BBVA Compass Bank brand Friday.
Guaranty Bank was taken over by Compass Bancshares, a subsidiary of Spain's BBVA Group, after its closure by federal regulators last summer.
But operations continued under Guaranty's name and logo. The Fresno branch is at Palm and Shaw avenues, and the Clovis branch is at Clovis and Herndon avenues.
Compass Bancshares, based in Alabama, has about 750 branches across the South and Southwest. More than half of its branches are in Texas.
BBVA Group operates in 30 countries around the world with about 7,600 branches, and the largest proportion of its business comes from Spain and Portugal. The U.S. market accounts for about 7% of its operating income.
