Clovis expands Wi-Fi

Free Wi-Fi in Old Town Clovis has expanded to cover a larger area.

The network is along Pollasky Avenue and covers Seventh to Third streets. The second phase, which added service south of Fifth Street to Seventh, is now in service.

The project was initiated by the Clovis Community Development Agency and Technopolis Central California Collaborative.

Connecting to the network does not require a password. Visitors in range simply connect their device and start using service.

In 2010, the city plans to extend the network to Clovis Avenue between Fifth and Fourth streets.
