Clovis Avenue reopens after gas leak

6:30 p.m.: Clovis Avenue between Tulare Avenue and Kings Canyon Road reopened to traffic 20 minutes ago, the Fresno Fire Department reports.

3:47 p.m.: Northbound lanes of Clovis Avenue in southeast Fresno will remain closed today for about an hour and half and southbound lanes for several hours because of a gas line rupture, city officials said.

The Clovis Avenue closure is from Tulare Avenue to Kings Canyon Road. PG&E crews are working on the rupture, which was reported about 1:30 p.m. today.


2:38 p.m.: A gas line rupture will close a portion of Clovis Avenue in southeast Fresno until about 4:30 p.m. today, a Fire Department spokesman said.

Clovis Avenue is closed from Tulare Avenue to Kings Canyon Road. PG&E crews are working on the rupture, which was reported about 1:30 p.m.
