A Clovis woman was sentenced Thursday to three years of probation on drunken driving charges stemming from an accident in which she hit another vehicle and killed the driver.
Earlier this month, a jury acquitted Donna Pottorff of manslaughter, but convicted her of driving drunk, which is a misdemeanor. Prosecutors asked for jail time, but the judge denied the request.
Authorities said Pottorff was driving a 2004 Ford and heading north on Auberry Road north of Clovis on Aug. 1, 2008, when she crossed the double yellow lines and collided with a southbound 2003 Toyota driven by Chou Her. Her was killed.
