Deputies searched Monday night for a group of armed robbers who broke into a home and demanded money from a southeast Fresno family who were legally growing medical marijuana, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office said.
It was the second time the home on Montecito Avenue near Clovis Avenue was the site of a home-invasion robbery, said Lt. Toby Rien. The other robbery happened Sept. 15.
About 8:30 p.m. Monday, the robbers burst into the home but left when they found no money, Rien said.
One victim suffered minor cuts when he jumped through a bedroom window to escape, and another victim complained of chest pains, he said.
