Former eBay chief executive and candidate for governor Meg Whitman and State Controller John Chiang will be in Clovis on Thursday for the fourth annual Central California Venture Forum. The event will focus on raising capital in this economy.
Whitman will speak on entrepreneurship and private capital, and Chiang's lunchtime address will focus on "Can California be Fixed?"
The event runs from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Building, 453 Hughes Ave. Tickets cost $75, which includes lunch. Online registration is available at www.lylescenter.com, and registration will be accepted in person Thursday morning if space is available.
