Man arrested in burglary near Clovis

Fresno County sheriff's deputies have arrested a Fresno man in connection with a burglary east of Clovis.

Sheriff's spokesman Chris Curtice said the 26-year-old man was seen by the victim as she did yardwork Friday at her home on the 6000 block of East Shepherd Avenue.

When she saw several items of her property stacked near him, she called out to the suspect, who then fled in a car. The woman got the car's license number and called deputies.

The man was arrested later that day when he returned home on the 2000 block of East Solar Avenue.

He was booked on charges of burglary and possession of stolen property, methamphetamine and a weapon.
