The arrest of a 21-year-old Clovis man in December on a charge of public intoxication solved a nearly year-old commercial burglary, police said.
Anthony Martinez was arrested Saturday night at his home in the 2900 block of Caesar Avenue for the April 4 burglary at the PG&E corporation yard at 3300 Lind Avenue, Clovis police said. Vehicles and an office had been burglarized; police did not say what was stolen.
Fingerprints taken from the scene yielded no matches in the police database. Officer had no other leads.
On Dec. 18, Martinez was arrested on a public intoxication charge and his fingerprints were taken. His fingerprints were positively tied to the PG&E burglary, police said.
