A 34-year-old man found foaming at the mouth midday Tuesday on a central Fresno street corner died shortly after being taken to a hospital, police said.
Lt. Joe Gomez said police were called to the southwest corner of Clinton Avenue and First Street about 12:15 p.m. on a report of an agitated man with his pants down and foaming at the mouth. Officers found several people around the man. He was taken by ambulance to Community Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 1:05 p.m. The Fresno County Coroner’s Office identified him Tuesday as Burnett Farmer of Fresno.
Detectives were called to the corner to investigate the circumstances of Farmer’s death. The cause was not immediately clear.
