The event was scheduled to run until 7 p.m. at the Boys & Girls Club, 930 Tulare St.
The cobbler was homemade from scratch by students at the school and club, starting with harvesting organic Elberta peaches at the Masumoto family farm with additional fruit donated by the D.E. Boldt farm. Some of the cobbler was presold to community members, with some reserved for sale at the club Monday. Youth will also enter their cobblers in The Big Fresno Fair, organizers say.
