An event to support local law enforcement will be held in Coalinga Saturday morning.
Greg Cody of Coalinga says his wife, Tanya Stolz, has “poured her heart and soul” into the event scheduled to take place at Frame Park. Around 100 people will gather beginning at 7 a.m. Stolz has arranged for local police officers and their chief, CHP officers and the mayor and city manager have been invited to appear and speak.
Supporters will “paint” Coalinga blue by placing blue ribbons across the small town.
Cody said most police officers, including those on their day off, have shown interest in the event, which is expected to wrap up by 10 a.m.
