Drunk driving is suspected in a crash early Tuesday morning in southeast Fresno that left three men injured, Lt. Joe Gomez said.
Gomez said the crash happened shortly before 3 a.m. when Samuel Caballero, 23, was driving his Chevrolet Malibu south on First Street, ran a red light at an intersection and crashed into a GMC Envoy traveling west on Belmont Avenue.
Caballero was arrested on four counts of driving under the influence, one count of causing injury to his passenger and for being an unlicensed driver.
Caballero and his passenger were listed in critical condition at Community Regional Medical Center, Gomez said.
The man driving the GMC Envoy was moderately injured and is expected to recover, Gomez said.
The crash is under investigation. None of the other men involved were identified.
