Harley motorcycle rider killed in Coalinga-area crash

A Paso Robles man was killed when he lost control of his Harley-Davidson and crashed east of Coalinga on Saturday, the California Highway Patrol reported Monday.

The man was identified as Ronnie Allen Ochoa, 45.

According to the CHP, Ochoa was southbound on Sutter Avenue from Jayne Avenue about 7:30 p.m. when he tried to bring the Harley to a sudden stop and lost control. Ochoa was thrown from the motorcycle and slammed into the pavement.

He was rushed to Coalinga Regional Medical Center but died of his injuries.
